Open Call 2026
Do Not Research is now accepting submissions for the next issue. Accepted entries will begin publishing in 2026. Send us essays, art, and more.
Submission Guidelines:
All submissions should be work that you made within the last two years. It’s okay to send work you have already published elsewhere, such as your own website, social media pages, etc. If the work has appeared in another publication, we can link back to the original post with permission from the editors. We are unable to accept incomplete works, pitches or proposals.
TEXT: Submissions should meet a minimum of 800 words. Send essays about internet culture, art, politics, media theory and cyber-ethnographic research. If you are submitting long form writing, such as academic research or materials for a book, please choose a single chapter or section to excerpt. If your text includes images, please send them as attachments.
VISUAL: When sending artworks, be sure to include captions with “title, year, dimensions, and materials” for each image. Please include a brief statement or description of at least 250 words to contextualize the work. We prioritize submissions with exhibition documentation and/or full bodies of work over images of individual artworks. We are unable to publish PDFs, browser based art or code.
All contributors are paid an honorarium and gifted a lifetime membership to the community.
Deadline for submissions: Tuesday, January 6th, 2026.
Send submissions to: <donotresearch@proton.me>
Be sure to include your name, your socials (IG, Substack, etc), and payment info (Venmo, Zelle or PayPal). Remember to include your pseudonym if you are publishing anonymously.
