DNR Summer Courses
Last summer, we launched a new and experimental education program. Instructor Theresa Tomi Faison facilitated a DNR Bootcamp whose waitlist and level of interest far exceeded our expectations. Last fall, we expanded this program by offering an additional Technology Criticism course with Mike Pepi, author of Against Platforms (2025).
This summer we are adding “Contemporary Art History” with artist and educator Andy Bennentt, who alongside Harris Rosenblum has facilitated internal art critique groups for the DNR discord community over the last two years.
After five years of independent reading groups, crit groups, film screenings, and more, we are taking on the task of educating the next cohort of artists and creatives. You can enroll today: view all DNR Spring 2026 courses here.
All courses will take place on Discord. Students must be prompt in responding to onboarding emails and be prepared to use the platform.
Summer Bootcamp (Sundays)

Four week intensive course delving into the core ideas and questions explored in the foundational stages of DNR. We will examine artworks, texts, and online media covering topics: internet-informed identity, political futures, & post-internet art. Facilitated by artist Theresa Tomi Faison via Discord.

Contemporary Art History
INSTRUCTOR: Andy Bennentt
DATES: Tuesday, 8/11, 8/18, 8/25, 9/1
TIME: 6:30 - 8:30pm EST
This four-week course introduces students to ideas, artists, and debates in contemporary art through close readings of artworks, essays, and videos.The course is organized around four thematic problems that have reshaped artistic practice over the last fifty years: the relationship between art and life, the changing status of images, the materiality of moving images, and contemporary developments beyond post-internet art.
