‘Silver Globe’ showcases a series of experimental 3D printed frames and varying approaches to photography including landscape documentation, traditional black and white film, and neural network-generated flesh forms. Neo-deco, organic, and machinic motifs are present throughout the objects and images – a mise-en-scène for a birthing future.
Machine manufacturing of resin frames, combined with the potential for technical reproduction inherent in printed images (c-prints), is complemented by the artist’s unique handwork in the construction of each frame, its coloring and mounting as well as neural net generation. The result is a new object at the intersection of technical reproduction and fabrication, manual labor, and artificial intelligence.
On this basis, there is attention to the materials, techniques, and processes involved in production (the chromogenic print results from the interaction of solar radiation and silver nitrate; UV activated resin) as they interact with the narrative created by the imagery (geothermal mud, lithium mines, relics of technological progress, and energy forms from the sun and the earth's core, to cell mutation) to address the entropic tendencies of the universe, or the theme of processes of reproduction or deformation.
The background for the exhibition is the post-modern interior of a former restaurant space in the historic Marais quarter of Paris.
They did not thirst when He led them through the deserts. He made the water flow out of the rock for them;
He split the rock and the water gushed forth.Isaiah 48:21
The stages of the alchemical processes can be traced in the lives and activities of nearly all the world Saviors and teachers, and also among the mythologies of several nations. It is said in the Bible that "except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." In alchemy it is declared that without putrefaction the Great Work cannot be accomplished. What is it that dies on the cross, is buried in the tomb of the Mysteries, and that dies also in the retort and becomes black with putrefaction? Also, what is it that does this same thing in the nature of man, that he may rise again, phœnix-like, from his own ashes (caput mortuum)?
Manly P. Hall, The secret teachings of all ages
And the third angel sounded, and there fell a great star from heaven, burning as it were a lamp, and it fell upon the third part of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters; and the name of the star is called wormwood: and the third part of the waters became wormwood; and many men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.
Revelation 8:10
There are three basic chemical substances which are called by the philosophers salt, sulphur, and mercury, but which are not to be confounded in any way with the crude salt, sulphur, and mercury taken from the earth or secured from the apothecary. Salt, sulphur, and mercury each has a triune nature, for each of these substances contains, in reality, also the other two substances, according to the secret arcanum of the wise.

If developed too far [the solution in the alchemical retort], it will also seep through the glass, for there is no physical container sufficiently strong to hold it. The reason for this is that it is no longer a substance but a divine essence partaking of the interpenetrative power of Divinity. When it is properly developed, this universal solvent in liquid form will dissolve into itself all other metals. In this high state the universal salt is a liquid fire. This salt dissolved with the proper amount of any metal and run through the different stages of digestion and rotations; of augmentations will eventually become a medicine for the transmuting of inferior metals.
